The Plymouth Gun Club will long be remembered as the birthplace of the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League. Without the vision, commitment and determination of the officers and members who wholeheartedly supported the youth program from the very beginning, the MSHSCTL would not have evolved. THANK YOU!

To everyone that bought raffle tickets to fund the program in the beginning, donated trophies to help inspire the students, volunteered by maintaining the grounds and landscaping, painting the buildings to make the club a club any school would be proud to shoot at, providing financial support (scholarships) to students that did not have the funds to participate, for making loaner guns available to these students and for volunteering and giving of your time and talent as coaches, mentors, trainers and friends, THANK YOU!

The Minnesota Trapshooting Association, led by Mark Zauhar, offered to sponsor the Minnesota State High School Tournament in June. Their generous financial support made the event possible. The students shot at over 24,000 targets, each of which was paid for by the MTA. Students in each of three categories Varsity, JV and Novice received trophies and medallions. These were also provided by the MTA. Your support and generosity is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

The Minneapolis Gun Club was the host club for the Minnesota State High School Tournament in June. The event ran like a Swiss watch. This is because of the front-end organizing that Wade Haugen and Jim Walkowiak did. An event this size doesn't just happen, it takes a tremendous amount of exceptional organizing, and for that we say THANK YOU!

The Minneapolis Gun Club participation and generosity doesn't end there, however. They also provided a free lunch to all of the shooters. They prepared and served 700 hamburgers with, potato salad, chips, cookies and beverages. THANK YOU!

The United States Marine Corps provided the color guard for the opening ceremony and the playing of the National Anthem. As parents, coaches, teachers and mentors it is important that we teach our young people, by example, what love of country and respect for the flag looks like. To that end we were proud to have the very best example lead off our State Tournament. Thanks to Sgt. Henry Freisner for arranging for the Marine Corps Color Guard to present the Colors during the playing of our National Anthem at the State Tournament. No example can explain pride or love of country better than a U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard. To Sgt. Freisner and his associates, thank you for contributing so much to our state tournament and thank you for your service to our country. THANK YOU AND SEMPER FIDELIS!

And thank you to the parents that support their children in this activity. A special thank you to the "moms" that have offered encouragement on a weekly basis and urged us to extend the program to more schools so more kids will have an opportunity to participate in an extra-curricular activity. I heard you. I heard you when you told me "every kid isn't cut out to be a football player, or hockey player or wrestler, or basketball player." Even though I told some of you "you were preaching to the choir", your reminders are appreciated and are what is helping make this program grow and succeed. To parents, for your support and encouragement, and for allowing us to share one of America's oldest traditions, marksmanship, with your children, we offer our gratitude. THANK YOU!

To John Nelson, CEO of Co-Op Marketing Group and designer of the MSHSCTL website, a huge, thank you! It's said, one man's dream is often another man's nightmare. If such is the case with John, he's never mentioned it. His suggestions for improving the website and the league are always enthusiastic and on target. When it comes to our supporters, and building a team of supporters, we're lucky to have John on our team. THANK YOU!
